Job description: Our client is a Fortune 150 company in the financial services industry.

Role Overview: As an IT Product Owner focused on Automation products, you will own the product vision, roadmap, and backlog management for automation initiatives—including RPA, workflow orchestration, test automation, and API-driven process automation. You'll collaborate closely with business stakeholders, developers, QA, and DevOps to deliver solutions that reduce manual effort, mitigate risk, and improve service quality within financial services.

• Define and evangelize a clear product vision and roadmap for automation solutions aligned with business goals.
• Write, prioritize, and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and product backlog items.
• Act as the primary proxy-PO in daily Scrum activities, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews.
• Define non-functional requirements: performance, scalability, auditability, and resilience.
• Track product performance via key metrics (e.g., process cycle time reduction, ROI, error rates).
• Report progress and insights to leadership and adjust the roadmap as necessary.
• Stay current on automation technologies (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Camunda, etc.) and industry best practices.
• Champion iterative improvements through retrospectives and stakeholder feedback loops.

Qualifications (Required):

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, or MIS with a strong technical focus.
• Experience: 3–5 years as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role delivering automation or enterprise software products.
• Proficiency with Agile methodologies and tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, Confluence).
• Familiarity with RPA platforms (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism), workflow engines (Camunda, Apache Airflow), and API integrations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to translate complex technical concepts for business audiences.
• Proven stakeholder management experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

Preferred Skills:

• Certification as Scrum Product Owner (CSPO, PSPO) or Agile Practitioner.
• Experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, TestNG) or CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Prior experience in financial services (banking, insurance, payments).
