Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Product Manager to oversee our Lane Equipment portfolio, including ophthalmic chairs, stands, instrument tables, stools, and related items. The role involves managing all aspects to drive growth and profitability, working closely with manufacturers and internal teams to ensure the right products are commercialized, customer tools are developed, and internal communications are optimized. A key focus will be developing an online portal for customer viewing, customization, and purchasing.

This position is based in New Jersey, requiring residence within 1 hour of Berlin, NJ, and availability for onsite meetings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement marketing plans to drive product success.
  • Perform market, pricing, and competitive analyses.
  • Develop and execute product roadmap strategies.
  • Create commercialization plans for new products/features.
  • Understand customer needs and incorporate the voice of the customer.
  • Lead product development with manufacturers.
  • Define customer needs and future product requirements.
  • Gather and act on customer feedback to ensure satisfaction.
  • Create positioning statements and selling messages.
  • Produce sales aids and marketing collateral.
  • Support sales training with product content and delivery.
  • Develop project briefs for key projects.
  • Support product launches, demonstrations, and trade shows.
  • Maintain market knowledge through various channels.
  • Travel up to 25% overnight, including weekends.
  • Minimum Requirements
  • Strong analytical skills and business problem-solving ability.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail; technical experience preferred.
  • Experience overseeing large, complex projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with executives, sales, manufacturers, and customers.
  • BA/BS degree required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the medical industry, eye care, or related business.
  • Compensation & Benefits

    Expected base salary: $120,000 - $140,000 annually. In addition, eligible for a 5% annual bonus. Topcon offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k) with employer match, tuition reimbursement, paid holidays, and PTO. Compensation may vary based on skills, experience, location, and other factors.
