About The Job

This position oversees several priority business projects within DWD's portfolio, focusing on the improvement of internal, as well as customer-facing systems and programs. The role includes managing scope, budget, and schedule for large, complex IT and data governance projects. The candidate will serve as part of a cross-functional team to ensure projects are delivered on-time and on-budget.

Daily responsibilities include project scoping, stakeholder management, work breakdown structures, and grant/budget management. The role also involves overseeing project scope, resource allocation, budget reporting, requirements gathering, scheduling, and communication of project status.

A Day In The Life

• Manage multiple projects to ensure successful completion.
• Handle large enterprise projects involving multiple stakeholders or contracted resources.
• Develop and monitor project plans.
• Define roles, responsibilities, and requirements for users and team members.
• Coordinate stakeholder activities to meet timelines and budgets.
• Communicate project status to management and stakeholders.
• Participate in product demos and communicate concerns and risks.
• Send regular recap emails to stakeholders.
• Track and report on budgets.

What We Are Looking For

• BS degree in Business or related field and 5+ years of experience; experience with state government and data management projects is a plus. PMP certification is a plus.

What You Will Need For Success

• BS in Business or IT, with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in project management, budget management, and Agile practices.
• Strong communication and requirement management skills.
• Ability to handle ambiguity, prioritize tasks, and work across functions.
