Our radiation therapy for cancer makestreatment shorter, safer, personalized and more effective, ultimately enabling patients to live longer, better lives.Job DescriptionEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Understand customer and engineering requirements for product computer components, including machine control computers, servers, HPC (high-performance computing), workstations, network devices, security devices, and rack-mounted hardwareUnderstand customer needs for product peripherals, and works with Manufacturing and Customer Support in the selection and sourcing of these peripheralsCreate operating system images, updates, and network configurations for deployment to air-gapped medical devicesWork with technical documentation staff in creating upgrade work instructions and maintenance procedures for service, and works with Manufacturing to create manufacturing installation instructionsDesign automation for operating system configuration and deploymentParticipate in a rotating ‘on-call' schedule, fielding technical questions from Customer Support when necessaryAddress obsolescence issues related to the product computer environment as neededSupport technical teams in setting up compute environments and troubleshooting issuesExecute testing for compute and networking hardware and softwareCreate design documentation, compute and networking requirements, and test documentationDevelop mitigation plans for security vulnerabilitiesInfrequent travel ( CORE COMPETENCIES:Personal Excellence Effective in communication, demonstrates professionalism at all times, and has an accurate picture of selfStrengthening the Team Demonstrates high performance standards and effectively collaborates with the team, demonstrates a sense of ownership over assigned deliverables, and shows a high degree of motivation toward achieving individual and team goalsDrive for Results Applies financial discipline and a good business sense, supports change, and makes high quality and timely decisionsQualifications:Preferred or Desired:Experience working in an FDA regulated environmentRequired:Familiarity with network firewall and switch configuration (Cisco and/or Juniper)Background in computer engineering or similar fieldExperience administering Windows and Linux operating system environmentsFamiliarity with IP networking concepts and toolsExperience with Jenkins or similar automation toolExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational skills excellent problem solving/troubleshooting skillsAbility to regularly work on-site at the Madison Accuray campusAbility to lift 50lbTo qualify for this position, candidates must be able to furnish proof that they are authorized to work in the country they are applying on a permanent basis without sponsorship.EEO StatementAt Accuray, our commitment to patient-first outcomes drives an inclusive and collaborative work environment where the best ideas rise to the top — and everyone works to push them further.
