Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Product Engineer - Medium-Voltage Switchgear. This role will take place in Greenwood, SC and we are able to offer relocation assistance for qualified candidates within the United States.

The Product Engineer - Medium-Voltage Switchgear will design and develop critical customer marketing materials and support key customer growth initiatives through technical education and order support. They will gather and analyze customer feedback, benchmark to competitors and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop or modify products to drive customer satisfaction. Additionally, they will help drive continuous improvement initiatives in quote and order fulfillment through the setup and maintenance of order entry systems.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $83250.0 - $122100.0 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and lead best practices for critical customer documentation and marketing collateral including instruction booklets, parts catalogues, design guides, specifications, and brochures.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize quote and order fulfillment processes using customer-facing order tools.

  • Support growth initiatives with key customers through technical education and order support.

  • Support Voice-of-Customer (VOC) initiatives, including developing and gathering feedback from prospective customers in key market segments.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design engineering, sales, marketing, operations, and supply chain to develop new products or modify existing products to meet customer requirements and market needs.

  • Conduct competitive comparisons for both technical product and marketing benchmarking.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (industrial, mechanical, electrical), technical marketing, or related field from an accredited institution.

  • 2 or more years of experience in operations engineering, sales engineering, and/or technical marketing within the electrical industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience with power distribution and power systems.

Skills:

  • Product and technical knowledge of Medium-Voltage switchgear

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to collaborate and solve problems

  • Experience with Excel and data analysis

  • Possess excellent communication skills

  • Strong technical and analytical skills

  • Knowledge of key customers and ability to grow relationships with those customers in multiple levels of the organization

  • Ability to assess customer needs, provide clear, competitive quotations and overcome customer objections to win and grow the business

  • Effective inclusion, interpersonal and teamwork skills

  • Time management, presentation and planning skills

  • Ability to travel up to 25%
