Payrate: $39.00 - $41.89/hr. Summary: Performs basic product design, testing and/or analysis work for a defined portion of a project. Operates in a team environment, providing input to design solutions and participating in design reviews. Develops recommendations within established guidelines; work and decisions are reviewed by supervisors before implementation. Responsibilities:Create and maintain technical and/or user documentation to a high standard, and back up files to ensure instant recovery if problems occur. Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media. Contribute to the development of, and implement feasibility testing of, proposed engineering solutions to provide feedback and data to validate the design. Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to support the drafting of engineering standards and specifications and the evaluation of the effectiveness of those standards. Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them. Work collaboratively with other professional teams and over organizational boundaries to ensure service users experience cohesive and seamless support to meet their needs. Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to support the analysis of information and the specification of the methods and process steps, as well as the plant, machinery, and equipment, required to design and continuously improve manufacturing or materials processes and process systems. Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals. Carry out inspections under the supervision of senior colleagues to evaluate the quality of engineering works and/or the integrity of existing installations or structures, and make recommendations to senior colleagues on the remedial works needed to ensure conformance with specifications and regulatory requirements. Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to develop appropriate plans or perform necessary actions based on recommendations and requirements. Works under guidance (but not constant supervision) to analyze data trends for use in reports to help guide decision making. Uses clear and effective verbal communications skills without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on expressing ideas, requesting actions and formulating plans or policies. Works at an intermediate level to build the structure and culture of the project team, and define roles and responsibilities within that structure to enable the achievement of project mission and objectives and the effective operation of key business processes. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level Understanding of real-time operating system Experience in firmware (embedded software) development Experience in C or C++ programming language Experience with development and debugging tools (source level debuggers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.) Experience using GitHub or other version/configuration management system Desired Skills:Experience in Python programming language Working experience with CAN communication network Working experience with J1939/ISO11783 communication protocols Experience with signal processing techniques (digital filters, FFTs, etc.) Experience with advanced algorithms, including but not limited to Machine Learning and AI Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $39.00 - $41.89/hr. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience and the benefits package you select.
