As an early stage company, Bestomer is remote with a strong preference for in-person collaboration in the Los Angeles and San Francisco areas. We are in the earliest days of our journey and every incoming teammate will have immeasurable impact.

Who You Are:

As our earliest Product Designer, you will have a unique opportunity to collaborate directly with the founding team to shape the product's vision, design, and user experience from the ground up. You ll need to be collaborative, able to produce divergent concepts, and iterate quickly.

You ll be a key member of a growing startup, which also means you'll have the chance to wear multiple hats and contribute to various aspects of the business beyond traditional design

You might be a good fit if you:

• Collaborate closely with the founding team to understand product goals, user needs, and market insights.
• Perform lightweight user research, develop and synthesize insights into product strategy
• Lead the end-to-end design process, from ideation and concept development to high-fidelity visual design and implementation.
• Create intuitive and elegant user interfaces that align with our brand identity and enhance user engagement.
• Solid understanding of industry UX patterns and design trends
• Experience with prototyping tools and user testing methodologies.

Experience:

• Experience as a Product Designer (mobile/web) in a consumer tech company
• Proficiency in Figma
• Experience in a startup or environment with undefined and dynamic goals
• Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate design decisions and concepts to cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work in start-up environments where tasks, projects, and daily priorities may and can be ambiguous.
• Anticipatory desire to lean ahead and solve problems which are often unknown or unplanned (we re building this thing from scratch; we don t know what we don t know).
• Being able to stretch and shrink against shared company and team goals; some days will feel like working at the summit and others at basecamp.

Nice to Have:

• Ability to help define brand language and assets
• Experience working on multi-sided marketplace products
• Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and data-driven design decision-making.
