About the Role: We are seeking a talented Product Data Scientist to join our innovative team. In this pivotal role, you will:

• Collect, organize, interpret, and summarize statistical data to drive the design and development of Meta products.
• Utilize your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and data presentation to gain insights into user interactions with our products.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to address challenges and uncover trends and opportunities.
• Support product decisions and launches with robust data analysis.
• Handle projects spanning product operations, exploratory analysis, influence, and data infrastructure.
• Analyze varied data sets to evaluate factors impacting our products.
• Employ informed judgment in selecting appropriate methods and techniques for solutions.

Minimum Qualifications: To be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following:

• PhD (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or related fields.
• Research or coursework experience in:
• Machine learning techniques
• Large data sets and network-based data (TCP or HTTP)
• ETL processes
• Relational databases (SQL or PL*SQL)
• Scripting in PHP, Python, or Perl
• Statistical analysis using R, MATLAB, Mathematica, ROOT, SPSS, SAS, or Stata
• Distributed data processing systems (Hadoop, Hive, MapReduce, LCG, MPI)
• Quantitative techniques such as clustering, regression, pattern recognition, descriptive and inferential statistics
• Strong ability to communicate and present data analysis results effectively.

Compensation: The annual salary for this role ranges from $216,571 to $235,400, plus bonuses, equity, and benefits.
