Position Summary:

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating the delivery of goods and services needed for the organization's operations. This role supports the full procurement cycle — from vendor selection to order placement and contract management — ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and evaluate vendors based on price, quality, service, and delivery capabilities.
  • Issue requests for quotations (RFQs), analyze bids, and negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts.
  • Create and manage purchase orders in accordance with company policies and budgets.
  • Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and services and resolve any delivery or quality issues.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to clarify purchasing requirements and support project or production needs.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, and vendor data.
  • Analyze market trends and pricing conditions to identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Support compliance with internal controls, procurement policies, and industry regulations.
  • Assist in developing procurement strategies and process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and procurement software is preferred.
  • Industry-specific experience such as construction and/or renewable energy, a huge plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office setting. The role may require occasional travel.
  • Physical Demands: This role requires the ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer. Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
