Procurement Representative - Northwell Health : Job Details

Per Diem (On Call) Purchases routine requisitioned supplies, equipment, services, and other items necessary for all business units at the best possible price. Contacts vendors and shippers to ensure merchandise, supplies and equipment are forwarded by specified shipping dates. Assists in maintaining and updating MMIS databases for all entities. Facilitates the delivery of high quality customer service for immediate support and service needs that are not being handled through one of the Contract Managers. Job Responsibility Places and verifies purchase orders from electronic requisitions and computer order forecasts with assigned vendors; investigates any discrepancies related to purchasing, receiving, or invoicing and resolves with appropriate internal and/or external parties. Verifies orders for delivery within established deadlines and expedites open orders as necessary.
