Procurement Manager

We are seeking a Procurement Manager who will play a critical role in the supply chain and logistics department for a medical device company that is revolutionzinng lab technology for analyzing human tissue.

The Procurment Manager will lead strategic soucing and buying efforts to grow the organization, ensure effieciency, cost effectiveness and alignment with overall business goals. We are looking for an individual who has experience who has experience with buying parts, vendor relationships and procurement processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the procurement and buying process for parts for the BOM's.
  • Analyze current vendors on partnerships
  • Work on outreach and cold call potential new vendors for parts
  • Develop sourcing strategies to optimize supplier selection, negotations, and contract management including.
  • Work with vendors to track inventory to meet production schedules
  • Manage Purchase Order (PO) lifecycle, tracking open orders and following up when neccessary to vendors.
  • Analzye procurement budgets, work on cost optomization/reduction initiatives while holding a quality bar.
  • Manage a comprehensive record of inventories, purcharsing and pricing records
  • Help implement best practices for ethical sourcing/buying practices.
  • Work with cross-functional teams such as production, finance, logistics to align buying/procurement strategies.
  • Manage relationships with external manufacturers and strategic partners as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Adminstartion or a related field
  • 3-7 years of professional experience working in a procurement/buyer role or supply chain management.
  • Experience with negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Experience working with ERP and PLM systems. We use Netsuite and Arena
  • Experience tracking purchase orders and parts to ensure timely delivery
  • Solid time management and organization skills
  • Strong desire to work in a small, fast growing startup environment.
