Location: Arlington, VA (Relocation Support Available)

Type: Full-Time | Hybrid

Recruiting on behalf of a leading RNG project developer:

AD Energy is partnering with a fast-growing renewable natural gas (RNG) developer that specializes in wastewater and agricultural waste-to-energy solutions. This innovative organization builds, owns, and operates RNG facilities that transform organic waste into clean fuel, water, and soil-enhancing by products—delivering powerful sustainability and economic benefits to local communities.

As part of their continued expansion, we are hiring a Procurement Manager to join their Capital Projects team and support the delivery of high-variability, project-based procurement across a portfolio of RNG facilities. This role plays a critical part in driving cost efficiency, supply chain performance, and construction excellence across both major capital builds and day-to-day plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead procurement activities across capital construction projects and operational facilities
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with project budgets, schedules, and quality standards
  • Coordinate complex procurement activities, including custom equipment sourcing and interpreting technical drawings
  • Manage purchase requisitions, approvals, and issuance of POs
  • Support subcontracting efforts: bid evaluations, scope alignment, and contract execution
  • Track logistics, shipping, customs clearance, and deliveries
  • Maintain oversight of inventory levels, spare parts ordering, and warehousing
  • Evaluate and qualify suppliers capable of supporting complex industrial capital projects
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, plant staff, and executive stakeholders
  • Mentor junior procurement staff and contribute to a culture of accountability and improvement

You're a Great Fit If You:

  • Enjoy combining strategic sourcing with hands-on procurement execution
  • Have a background in complex, capital project procurement—especially custom equipment and tight timelines
  • Can confidently interpret engineering specs, collaborate with technical teams, and drive vendor outcomes
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment where no two days are the same
  • Excel at managing large POs, subcontracting, logistics, and material tracking
  • Are motivated by continuous improvement and proactive problem-solving

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or similar
  • 3–5 years of experience in procurement, subcontracting, logistics, or materials management
  • Experience supporting both capital project delivery and operating facilities
  • Proven ability to manage POs, contracts, and project documentation
  • Familiarity with supplier sourcing for complex industrial systems
  • Logistics coordination experience across multiple sites
  • Inventory/spare parts management exposure
  • Ability to travel ~10–15% to project sites and supplier locations

Preferred (Not Required):

  • CPSM, PMP, or CMRP certification
  • Experience aligning sourcing decisions with engineering and plant operations
  • Background in lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Exposure to supplier diversity or inclusive sourcing programs

Skills You'll Use Daily:

  • Advanced procurement & negotiation
  • Contract administration & vendor performance
  • Logistics planning (domestic/international)
  • Construction & supply chain operations
  • Cross-functional collaboration
  • Process improvement mindset
