Summary

Manages strategic projects for procurement functions within any element ofprocurement, category, spend area or BU. Has accountability for timely delivery of procurement projects within a wide range of functions. Contributes to development of procurement frameworks and processes. Responsible for executing processes, POs and procurement plans locally, within one location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing procurement projects within ocean, landside transportation and contract logistics
  • According to authority level, management and participation in negotiations for primarily L&S category and assisting implementation of Service Level Agreements between Maersk's operation and its suppliers.
  • Cooperating closely with colleagues and stakeholders in Maersk's operation, working very closely with the country organization to ensure alignment between costs, commercial needs and operational execution.
  • Being accountable for integrating Contract Management frameworks to help ensure cost leadership, compliance and best in class supplier performance.
  • Assist and take responsibility on terminal related projects that have a co-dependency on landside spend - when needed.
  • Performing supplier market analysis and organizing market intelligence for landside spend within Maersk's operation, and benchmarking Maersk cost competition and ensuring cost leadership.
  • Involvement in process improvement initiatives that reduce the landside total cost of ownership through non-negotiated approaches, such as re-distribution of volumes between suppliers.

We are looking for

  • A good understanding of the business drivers of Maersk business on the L&S operations and is able to build a strategy within L&S spend categories to drive down cost and improve efficiency in collaboration with our landside suppliers.
  • Strong market knowledge specifically for Warehousing, Intermodal and Supply Chain Management categories
  • Financial acumen, previous exposure to P/L management processes
  • Experience with landside container, LTL/FTL transportation/operations and Warehousing activities and should be able to apply procurement tools to drive cost initiatives but also with focus on fulfilling business requirements and vendor performance.
  • Ability to solve complex challenges through analysis and based on accurate identification of underlying factors/causes and are aware of the impact of proposed solutions outside their own immediate area.
  • Strong communication, networking, and interpersonal skills through which s/he can use to engage with a broad range of stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Project management, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Fluency in English and Turkish required.
  • Advance skills of MS Office Programs and various digital/AI procurement tools.
