Job Description :

Position Description/ Responsibilities:

Accountable for managing procurement category for the indirect spend in NORAM; Coordinate with Regional Indirect Procurement Manager Americas on Packaging, Logistics, Corporate Services categories; Support commercial team, customers as needed related to indirect procurement tasks

Deliver contribution to execution of overall category strategy and drive results in line with local and global procurement strategy. Realize results through methods that include competitive bidding, negotiating, RFx methodologies and analyzing market data / trends as needed.

Set action plans with internal stakeholders in regard to cost saving, payment terms improvements, master data improvements, spend consolidation, suppliers' synergy, bundle demands and drive contracts management.

Operational purchasing of material and services, by means of placing, tracking & tracing and closure of purchase orders in the ERP system (SAP); Following up and closure of supplier related issues based on purchase orders placed, and providing input into the supplier evaluation measures to support supplier relationships; Maintain master data, i.e. vendor master data and procurement related material master data as well as price maintenance and document purchasing activities

Co-operate with internal stake holders to support overall administrative efficiency and satisfy internal customers, Coordinate CAPEX activities with the sites and other stakeholders

Requirements/Qualifications:

Education

Bachelor's

Experience

Minimum 7 years of experience, preferably in the chemical industry.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and result oriented

  • Strategic at the same able to roll up the sleeve for tactical / operational tasks

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience with SAP MM, especially all PO related tasks, as well as Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Access experience is an added value

  • Fluency in English. Good communication skills, both oral and written are required.

  • Team player

  • Experience international negotiator

  • Experience in continuous improvement and lean six sigma as a plus

  • Project Management
