Our client, a global leader in manufacturing , is seeking a Procurement Category Specialist to join their team, working hybrid , in Maplewood, MN . As a Procurement Category Specialist, you will be part of the Procurement Department supporting our client's various Businesses & Divisions. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, a proactive approach, and excellent project management capabilities, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Procurement Category Specialist Location: Maplewood, MN 55119 (Hybrid - 4 days onsite) Pay Range: $27-29/HR Benefits Contract Duration: 12-Month W2 Contract Job Function: Provide Category support across 3M Businesses & Divisions, serving as a Procurement Category Specialist for Converting & Pack Out Services across 3rd Party Manufacturing & Hard Goods. Support supplier consolidation to help meet cost savings and working capital goals. Minimize total product and process costs by initiating cost reduction efforts and implementing innovative Procurement best practices. Lead supplier selection and manage complex supplier relationships as the key point of contact for 3M. Identify and implement solutions for complex situations regarding dual-sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management. Required Qualifications: 5 years of experience in Procurement, particularly with contract manufacturers. Strong negotiation and contracting skills. Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on complex projects. Financial acumen and comfort with conducting business analytics.
