The Company Hiring: Our client is a WNY-founded company that is on an amazing trajectory experiencing significant growth and looking to hire a new Procurement & Inventory Specialist as they continue to scale. The Job: The Procurement & Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing the full procure-to-pay workflow, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting timely month-end financial reporting. It is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with at least three years of experience in accounting and inventory coordination within a product-based environment, and who brings a proactive, cross-functional problem-solving mindset. This position reports directly to the Controller. Main areas of focus:
- Procurement and Purchasing Operations
- Inbound Logistics Coordination
- Receiving Process Oversight
- Accounts Payable and Invoice Processing
- Inventory Management and Controls
- Month-End Close and Financial Reporting Support
Job Duties:
- Issue and track purchase orders; manage vendor records and pricing
- Coordinate inbound logistics and ensure timely receipt of goods
- Perform three-way matching and process supplier invoices
- Support accounts payable and vendor communications
- Conduct cycle counts and reconcile inventory variances
- Ensure accurate inventory valuation and financial reporting
- Assist with process improvements and ERP system utilization
Requirements:
- Associate or Bachelor's in Business, Supply Chain, or Accounting
- 3+ years of experience in procurement, inventory, or accounting in a product-based environment
- Proficiency in inventory/accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, ERP/MRP)
- Strong understanding of inventory controls and full-cycle AP
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills
Salary: $70,000-$90,000 + strong benefits, fully paid healthcare Work Style: Onsite with flexibility, Buffalo-based
