Procurement & Inventory Manager (On-site)

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven Procurement & Inventory Manager to join this dynamic team. This role is pivotal in managing supplier relationships, overseeing inventory, and procuring materials for third-party manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing strategies and inventory management, with a keen eye for market trends and cost optimization.​

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Management:
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers both domestically and internationally.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts, pricing, and payment terms to secure favorable agreements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain.
  • Monitor supplier quality and delivery performance, conducting quarterly business reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Analyze and manage costs associated with suppliers, implementing strategies to optimize procurement costs.
  • Facilitate communication between suppliers and internal teams for seamless operations.​
  • Demand Planning for Direct Materials:
  • Utilize the Business Central ERP System to determine the quantity and timing of direct materials needed for production.
  • Integrate demand forecasts with material planning to ensure accurate and timely procurement.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to support uninterrupted production.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Monitor and manage lead times to align with production schedules.
  • Collaborate with third-party manufacturing teams to align material planning with production schedules.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance material planning.
  • Maintain standard naming conventions and coding structures for direct material part numbers.
  • Oversee inventory cycle counts to ensure system accuracy.
  • Oversee the processing of daily inventory receipts and transactions.​

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Procurement and 5 years in Inventory Management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, or Engineering preferred.
  • Proficient in ERP systems, preferably Business Central 365.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Demand Planning, and SharePoint.
  • Strong work ethic, well-organized, and a self-starter.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work through highly detailed processes reliably and accurately.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis, and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Team player willing to assist in tasks outside normal responsibilities.​

Performance Metrics:

  • Achieve 3-4% direct material cost savings.
  • Maintain 99% accuracy of finished goods inventory.
  • Maintain 98% cycle count accuracy of raw material inventory.​

Physical Requirements:

  • Shuttle shipping and receiving paperwork between office and manufacturing/warehouse sites.
  • Walk production facility to cycle count inventory levels.
  • Ability to lift cases of product up to 35 lbs.
