Responsibilities
Responsible for leading and supporting the stabilization, standardization, simplification, and sustainability of Process Excellence within the Specialists in Hospital Medicine Group (SHM). Actively mentors team members at all levels in developing problem-solving skills to improve patient care, regulatory compliance, and operational metrics such as core measures, patient safety, quality, cycle time, rework, financial stewardship, and employee satisfaction.
Supports analysis, coordination, and integration of clinical processes aligned with strategic goals. Utilizes clinical information technology, process design, change management, and evidence-based practices to enhance patient care, quality, and financial and regulatory outcomes, focusing on core metrics.
Leads and facilitates teams using project management skills, developing and refining clinical designs including process flows, order sets, decision support tools, analytic reports, documentation templates, and online forms. Builds and maintains collaborative relationships with internal and external partners. Develops, trains, and mentors staff in process improvement methodologies, emphasizing Lean, Change Acceleration, Rapid Process Improvement, and Six Sigma.
Skills and Certifications
Ideal Candidate
Bachelor's degree preferred, with 5-7 years of experience leading lean transformation efforts that result in sustained process improvements and cultural change. Ability to train in advanced Lean concepts using adult learning principles.
Experience working in healthcare facilities, preferably with other healthcare organizations.
