At a Glance: The Ideal Candidate Hands-on experience in a chemical or manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on process optimization, troubleshooting, and cost reduction A proactive, safety-minded approach to working collaboratively with operations, maintenance, and R&D teams to drive quality, efficiency, and plant reliability A B.S. in Engineering (Chemical or related field preferred) and 2–4 years of relevant experience in process engineering or a similar technical role Strong critical thinking skills and a solid understanding of chemical principles and problem-solving methodologies What You'll Do Become a subject matter expert in assigned unit operations and processes Analyze and optimize processes to reduce cost, improve performance, and support quality goals Solve complex process challenges using critical thinking, data analysis, and chemical knowledge Support daily operations through troubleshooting and technical guidance Collaborate cross-functionally to implement procedure changes, train operators, and support R&D plant trials Coordinate and implement small capital projects and drive continuous improvement initiatives Maintain accurate documentation, P&IDs, labeling, and production data Conduct routine safety audits and participate in process hazard analyses Support a 24/7 manufacturing operation by occasionally working with night shift or outside traditional hours as needed What You'll Bring B.S. in Engineering (Chemical or related discipline) 2–4 years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing or chemical environment Strong analytical and root-cause problem-solving skills Ability to think critically, adapt quickly, and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence Work Environment This is an on-site role within a 24/7 manufacturing facility. The role requires regular standing, occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs), and varying work in environments with mechanical equipment, chemicals, and varying noise levels.
