Position Info:

Position Title: Process Engineer

Department/Category: Engineering

Job Type: Salary Level 3

Reports To: Plant Engineering Manager

Location: Stuarts Draft, Virginia

This position is located within the Stuarts Draft, VA Engineering Group and reports to the Plant Engineering Manager. It is primarily responsible for assisting implementation of the new products, automation systems, and process improvements. This individual will support program team members and customers and ensure that goals and objectives are met through effective involvement, contribution and coordination.

Responsibilities:

Identify problems and propose solutions by collecting empirical data and gathering knowledge from others.

Maintain technical integrity of the product by sound applications of engineering/mechanical design, principles, creation of engineering / design specifications, and material selection.

Manages the release of products from Pilot to Production phase.

Organize design reviews with the satellite locations, plant SQA.

Openly communicate project status and issues.

Experience:

3-5 years of project engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Tool room interface experience

Corporate engineering interface experience

New product introduction

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar degree.

Training and Skills:

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers.

Ability to utilize mathematical concepts (statistics, solid geometry, trigonometry, fractions, proportions, etc.) to solve problems.

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general engineering drawings, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.

Proficiency in the following software: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD.

Understanding of electrical automation control systems
