Job Description :

A leading manufacturer specializing in gel coats and resins, is seeking a Process Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in driving process improvements, ensuring optimal plant performance, and supporting production teams to meet operational goals. You will play a key role in continuously improving our batch polyester resin process for our Silmar and CoREZYN brands. You will leverage your engineering expertise and problem-solving skills to enhance the safety, quality, and productivity of our plant. You must be a US Citizen for this position.

What you can expect to do in this role as a Process Engineer:

  • Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot equipment issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Collect and analyze data to identify process trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance production workflows, reduce waste, and improve yield.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment is functioning at optimal performance levels.
  • Manage capital improvement projects, from concept through implementation, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
  • Ensure all processes comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Support the training of production staff on new equipment, processes, and safety protocols.
  • Assists with leadership of Process Safety Management (PSM) programs.

What we are looking for in a Process Engineer:

  • A bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of process control systems, instrumentation, and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or similar process improvement certifications.
  • Must be highly organized and excel in time management
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Proficient in various software including MiniTab, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office programs.
