Position Summary: Based in Fairfield/Cincinnati, OH, the Process Engineer will perform essential job functions under limited supervision. Required to assist the Quality Manager / General Manager and meet customer requirements. Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities): The primary duties consist of, but are not limited to the following.
  • Monitor all required processing of the product from receiving inspection up to final inspection and shipping.
  • Review shop cards against Purchase Order and specification requirements during contract review and prior to processing.
  • Identifying and recording present or potential conditions that would have a detrimental effect on the product, process, or the quality system, and initiating corrective action to address these conditions. May include controlling or stopping further processing until corrective action has been satisfactorily implemented.
  • Coordinating the interdepartmental efforts required to comply with quality requirements.
  • Performing internal process audits. Must complete and submit all required audit checklists.
  • Follow up with submittals.
  • Must have a good understanding of ISO 9001/AS9100 and NADCAP.
  • Must work in a manner consistent with the Safety, Health, and Environment.
  • Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively, understand and follow rules and procedures,s and accept constructive criticism.
  • Perform other tasks as designated by the manager.
  • This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customers' inventory and, as such, will perform duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage.

  • This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements; therefore, candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident cardholders.
  • Education - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum six months of working experience in thermal processing and customer specifications.
  • Must be able to read/interpret blueprints/specifications.
  • Must be capable of writing general procedures for heat treatment of specific alloys, in accordance with customer needs.
  • Must be capable of making written recommendations for improving the Quality System and Procedures.
  • Two years of preferred experience in a quality organization in industries such as heat treating, manufacturing, metallurgy, aerospace, and/or military specifications by education or experience.
  • Must possess strong verbal communication skills, a professional and patient style in dealing with customers and staff.
  • Must be precise and detail-oriented.
  • May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
  • Must have knowledge by experience or training of basic math.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience of computer applications, including Microsoft Office and databases, are required.
Physical & Mental Demands: The following physical and mental demands consist of, but are not limited to, the following.
  • Must be able to work in a sitting and/or standing position for extended periods of time in an industrial environment.
  • Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions.
  • Ability to bend, pull, stoop, and reach to perform functions.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc.
  • Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
  • Ability to hear in person and via phone.
