Your Impact: As a Process Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in optimizing our manufacturing processes, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, you'll be the driving force behind process development, improvement projects, and the creation of robust process documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Optimization & Control: Develop and implement effective process controls to consistently meet safety, quality, and production targets.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and lead critical manufacturing improvement projects focused on reducing variability, minimizing costs, and enhancing overall quality.
  • Shop Floor Support: Provide immediate technical process support to the production floor, addressing daily needs and requirements with urgency.
  • Production Rate Management: Develop, validate, and verify production rates, making necessary adjustments to maximize efficiency.
  • Statistical Analysis: Utilize statistical tools and methodologies to drive process development and optimization.
  • Product & Design Collaboration: Participate in Product and Design for Manufacturability Reviews, contributing to seamless production processes.
  • Equipment Integration: Establish processes and procedures for the integration of new manufacturing equipment.
  • Process Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including flow diagrams, FMEAs, control plans, process sheets, and work instructions.
  • Engineering Change Management: Evaluate, approve, and implement process-related Engineering Change Requests, ensuring accurate documentation updates.
  • Quality Assurance: Proactively identify and implement strategies to enhance product and process quality.
  • Productivity Enhancement: Identify and act on opportunities to increase productivity through process improvements.
  • Error Proofing: Develop and implement error-proofing systems at critical operational stages.
  • Corrective Action Support: Provide expert process technical support to corrective action teams.
  • Capability Assessment: Assess the capability of new manufacturing processes and equipment using capability studies, control charts, and other analytical tools.
  • Compliance: Maintain CQI-12 compliance.
  • Additional Duties: Undertake other assignments as directed by the Plant Manager.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in rubber molding and applying basic engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat).
  • Strong problem-solving and technical understanding.
  • Experience with industrial control software: CNC and PLC (Allen Bradley, Omron).
  • Experience with chemical coating/treatment processing (a plus).

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work with occasional standing, walking, and communication.
  • Ability to handle and manipulate items, including typing and paperwork.

Work Environment:

  • Combination of well-lit, climate-controlled office and manufacturing floor.
  • Exposure to moderate to high noise levels (hearing protection required).
  • Exposure to varying temperatures on the manufacturing floor.
