Position Overview:

In this critical role, you will be instrumental in designing, installing, maintaining, and optimizing the company's site automation systems. Your expertise will directly support ongoing plant optimization initiatives aimed at enhancing capacity, reducing costs, maintaining quality, and mitigating environmental impacts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Control System Design: Develop and implement industrial control system solutions (including DCS, PLC, and HMI systems) tailored to meet the operational needs of the company's construction and maintenance projects.

• Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives for system conversions and upgrades, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of control systems.

• Collaborative Implementation: Work closely with plant operations and engineering teams to identify process control requirements and effectively integrate them into the control systems.

• Performance Monitoring: Oversee key performance indicators (KPIs) for control equipment, analyze alarm system metrics, and initiate corrective actions as necessary.

• Guidance and Support: Provide expertise and mentorship to Control System Specialists during upgrade projects and troubleshooting efforts.

• Project Oversight: Manage the field construction and commissioning of DCS/PLC equipment related to maintenance or capital projects, ensuring adherence to installation standards and performance metrics through rigorous loop checks.

• Documentation and Training: Maintain accurate records of DCS system status and changes, and conduct training sessions for relevant personnel.

• Safety and Compliance: Support process safety initiatives, conducting Process Hazard Assessments (PHA) and managing Change controls (MOC).

• Technology Evaluation: Investigate and assess new technologies to lower hardware costs and improve automation efficiency.

• Project Management: Oversee and manage assigned projects, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and schedule commitments by adhering to the Project Life Cycle process.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Chemical, or related technical discipline).

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in process control systems, with a focus on DCS-based control systems

• Proven expertise in control systems architecture and operational reliability.

• Proficient in DCS systems (DeltaV / Ovation, Siemens PCS7 / OSx, Honeywell Experion) and PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, GE).

• Strong troubleshooting skills related to wiring and instrumentation, complemented by project management experience.
