Probate Paralegal – Punta Gorda, Florida (Full-Time, On-Site)Farr Law Firm P.A.

FarrLaw is seeking a skilled and compassionate Probate Paralegal to join our team in Punta Gorda, Florida. This full-time, in-office role supports attorneys by independently managing all aspects of estate and trust administration - including court filings, asset transfers, and direct client communication.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a client-focused environment and is looking to grow within a respected and long-standing law firm.

A Day in the Life

Your day may include:

• Client Communication – Guiding clients through the probate process and reviewing financial documentation with empathy and professionalism
• Document Preparation – Drafting, organizing, and managing legal documents for attorney review
• Asset Management – Assisting with the collection, valuation, and liquidation of estate assets
• Creditors' Claims – Reviewing and managing claims filed against the estate
• Tax Filings – Assisting in the preparation of estate tax returns and related filings

Position Details

• Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch from 12:00 - 1:00 PM)
• Location : On-site only (Punta Gorda office)
• Overtime : Occasional overtime may be required

• Has a willingness to learn and adapt to unique client or case circumstances

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Exceptional client service and interpersonal skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Technologically savvy, with the ability to quickly learn new software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Outlook and Word)
• 2+ years of experience in probate law or estate planning (as a paralegal or legal assistant) is necessary
• Knowledge of fiduciary accounting is a plus
• Experience as a Probate Paralegal is preferred, but not required
• Florida Registered Paralegal designation is a plus, but not required
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree is helpful, though not essential
