Job Type Part-timeDescriptionThe Patient Service Representative will assist patients in obtaining services, understanding policies, and making health care decisions. Verify medical insurance and ensure payment due at time of service is collected. Always maintain a clean and neat appearance.RequirementsDuties/Responsibilities:Provides front office registration duties such as collecting patient demographic information, inputting insurance information, verifying benefits, and acquiring signatures on ER consent forms. Enters all patient information into the EHR and billing software and completes the records by scanning all signed documents and medical reports in patient files. PSR will maintain and file the patient's records for a set period as required by DSHS in the appropriate area. Provides medical records to other providers as requested; upon completion of authorization to release information signed by the patient.Properly logs payment and cash receipts as required thru Square while maintaining the cash drawer during shift.Maintains accurate records for the billing office through the payment log regarding TOS payments and payer information. Required Skills/Abilities:Basic knowledge of medical terminology.Excellent active listening skills and a strong service orientation.Basic computer knowledge.Detail and multitask oriented.Education and Experience:High School Diploma/GED.One (1) or more years of experience in clerical support.Additional Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
