Private Ferry Blue Highway Program Coordinator Join to apply for the Private Ferry Blue Highway Program Coordinator role at City of New YorkJob DescriptionReporting directly to the Deputy Director of Private Ferries, this role serves as the Private Ferry Blue Highway Program Coordinator for the Staten Island Ferry. Responsibilities include responding to, coordinating, and managing matters related to NYC's Blue Highway initiatives, ensuring compliance with procedures and regulations. The coordinator oversees the Ferry Division's Private Ferry Operations and performs related work.Examples of Typical Tasks Lead Ferry Division Blue Highway project development and outreach, including design, research, recommendations, public presentations, community outreach, workshops, and report development.Manage scheduling and tracking of maritime deliveries, monitor landing slot availability, and inform customers about space availability.Handle correspondence regarding licensing, permits, service changes, billing, and shipping manifests.Verify receipt of customer checks and money orders, deposit checks, and record deposit amounts in the database.Prepare financial reports for supervisor approval, ensure deposits are accurate, and adhere to agency protocols.Assist with customer complaints via the 311 customer service center and ARTS system.Report ferry landing maintenance or security issues to supervisors.Maintain various reports and assist with private ferry administration and US Coast Guard requirements as needed.Preferred Skills Exceptional interpersonal skills.Excellent writing skills (submit a one-page writing sample with resume).Strong computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and web-based applications.Additional Information TWIC Requirement: Upon employment, candidates must undergo or already possess a TWIC, with the credential obtained within 30 days of appointment.Note: Open to qualified persons with disabilities under the 55-a program; indicate interest in your application.How to Apply Visit www.nyc.gov/careers/search , search for Job ID: 686502.
