Private Client Team Lead - Florida Keys
FinTrust Connect has partnered with a leading regional financial institution to identify a seasoned Private Client Team Lead to oversee high-net-worth client relationships and a team of Private Banking professionals in the Florida Keys market. This leader will drive growth through strategic relationship management, complex credit structuring, and team development.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required; MBA or formal credit training preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in private banking, wealth, or commercial lending.
- Prior leadership experience managing bankers or financial advisory teams.
- Strong credit acumen and comfort with complex lending structures and high-net-worth client needs.
- Deep knowledge of financial products, cash flow lending, estate planning needs, and regulatory compliance; additional experience in business/commercial banking is strongly valued.
- Excellent communication, client-facing, and presentation skills with a polished executive presence.
- Must reside within commutable distance to the Florida Keys.
Description:
- Lead and coach Private Bankers, Portfolio Managers, and support staff to achieve portfolio growth and service excellence, operating as a player-coach with clear sales discipline.
- Manage a personal book of high-net-worth relationships while mentoring a team managing their own client portfolios.
- Acquire and grow complex banking relationships through a systematic approach to selling, deep financial discovery, and high-touch service.
- Independently structure complex commercial and consumer loans, including real estate-secured lending, lines of credit, term debt, and securities-/asset-based solutions (e.g., yacht or aircraft).
- Represent the bank in the local community through professional organizations, chambers of commerce, and client-facing events; success requires being present and relationship-oriented in this highly local market.
- Ensure team-wide accountability in deal tracking, pipeline management, and adherence to service level expectations.
