Print Shop Assistant - University Printing and Mail - UTK - The University of Tennessee : Job Details

Job Description This position will operate light bindery equipment and perform manual bindery functions. They will also package finished jobs and write up associated delivery tickets for jobs. Responsibilities

• Operate light bindery equipment such as cutter, three hole drills, automatic punch, laminator, coil and spiral binders, thermal binder, score/perf/fold equipment, Horizon collator and stitcher, shrink wrap tunnel, padding equipment, etc.
• Perform manual bindery functions as assigned.Write up delivery slips for finished jobs.
• Package finished jobs for delivery.
• Organize leftover materials for storage and disposition.
• Maintain light bindery equipment and general work area.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications:

• Knowledge of light bindery equipment.
• Skills to operate and maintain light bindery equipment.
• Ability to use a variety of different light bindery equipment from different manufacturers.
• Knowledge of light bindery principles, techniques and materials.
• Good mechanical skills.
• Good math and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or vocational degree.
• Knowledge of various types of paper and printing techniques.
