V2X is looking for a Principal Specialist, Subcontracts to join our team!Vertex Aerospace LLC, a V2X company, is seeking a Principal Subcontracts Specialist to report to the IT and Cyber Solutions Subcontract Lead. This role supports the Mobile Sensors program and is a 100% onsite position at Patrick Space Force Base, FL, with minimal travel expected. The specialist will develop subcontract specifications, review work statements, and manage procurement terms for services and complex assemblies. Responsibilities include preparing bid packages, evaluating proposals, conducting Price/Cost Analysis, negotiating subcontract terms, performing supplier assessments, and managing subcontracts from award to closure. The role requires ensuring compliance with FAR/DFAR/AMS, company policies, import/export regulations (ITAR/EAR), and Davis Bacon Act/SCA. Collaboration with Integrated Product Teams (Engineering, Quality, Finance, Contracts, Program Management) is essential to ensure timely, compliant, and budget-conscious delivery. The candidate must be capable of managing multiple subcontracts and priorities simultaneously.Duties and Responsibilities:Develop supply chain strategies and alternativesBuild and maintain strong relationships with first-tier subcontractorsDevelop innovative solutions for complex problemsPerform risk analysis and develop mitigation plansUtilize change management systems and techniquesDevelop and execute project plans within budget and scheduleAlign solutions with organizational objectivesManage subcontracts effectivelyParticipate in source selection during proposal and execution phasesAssist in developing Statements of Work for subcontractsAnalyze and interpret requirements from V2X prime contractsDemonstrate leadership within an IPTRequirements:Minimum 6 years of experience managing subcontracts for complex US Government and Defense programsMust be a US CitizenKnowledge of FAR and AMS regulationsExperience with various subcontract types (T&M, FFP, CPFF, etc.)Strong problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skillsAbility to develop and negotiate various agreementsProven ability to work independently and influence critical requirementsDesired Qualifications/Skills:Proficiency with SAPKnowledge of V2X Supply Chain policiesExperience managing large Program Supply ChainsSix Sigma or equivalent certificationAbility to present complex ideas to executivesRequired Qualifications/Skills:Education:Bachelor's degree in Business, JD, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
