Principal, Special Education School - Fairfax County Public Schools : Job Details

Directs and supervises all aspects of a special education school including planning, organization, administration, and management. Required. Master's degree. Six (6) years of experience in teaching, administration, or supervision, with three years in an administrative role, some of which shall have been in special education. Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience. Postgraduate educational license with endorsement(s) designated as appropriate to assignment. Endorsement in administration and supervision Prek-12. Knowledge of procedures, equipment, legal requirements, and practices of instruction for the population of the center to which assigned. Knowledge of the various instructional and therapy specialties assigned to the center. Ability to assess, supervise, and evaluate both programs and personnel.
