We are looking for an innovative, adaptable, and results-oriented Principal Solution Architect for our IT Engineering department. This position can be located in Waltham, MA, Brooklyn, NY, Hicksville, NY, or Syracuse, NY. Candidates may also reside in Connecticut, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, or Maine. As a Principal Solution Architect, your responsibilities include understanding the capabilities of the Maximo application and supporting technologies, designing and supporting the development of quality solutions, evaluating technologies against market trends, and ensuring solutions meet current and future needs.

You will ensure all solutions are fit for purpose, compliant, and adhere to National Grid's standards. Your key responsibilities include:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in enterprise software development/support.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle and technology evaluation.
• Hands-on experience with application development, configuration, and support of Enterprise Asset Management systems.
• Familiarity with Agile, SAFe, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Understanding of client/server and web-based architectures.
• Experience with infrastructure setup and environment management.
• Technical Skills include:

o Experience with IBM Maximo v 7.6 or later.

o Knowledge of databases like DB2, Oracle, SQL Server.

o Familiarity with middleware such as Mulesoft and WebMethods.

o Server technologies including Windows & Unix.

o Development platforms like Microsoft .Net, Java, and MS Office.

Salary

Dowstate NY: $173,000 - $204,000/year

Massachusetts: $162,000 - $191,000/year

Upstate NY: $145,000 - $170,000/year

Salary depends on experience and location.
