Job Description :

Principal Security Systems Engineer

🔐 U.S.-Based | Pacific Time Zone | Remote (with travel as needed)

We're hiring a Principal Security Systems Engineer to lead the design and deployment of physical security systems for some of the most advanced data centers in the world.

You'll architect and oversee a multi-layered, zero-trust physical security framework — from perimeter defense to rack-level protection — across a growing global portfolio of GPU-driven, AI-ready facilities. If you thrive in mission-critical environments and enjoy working with elite teams, this role is for you.

💼 What You'll Do

  • Own the full lifecycle of physical security design across hyperscale data centers.
  • Define strategy and author master standards, specs, and drawings for security infrastructure.
  • Design and implement systems including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and biometrics.
  • Lead zoning layouts, mantrap flows, visitor access, and badging protocols.
  • Align security systems with DoD, SOC 2, and ISO 27001 standards.
  • Develop and manage project-specific documentation and local adaptations with external consultants.
  • Specify retention and encryption policies for logs, alarms, and video data.
  • Integrate physical security into DCIM and corporate SIEM platforms.
  • Ensure high resiliency with dual-path communications, UPS backups, and penetration testing programs.

✅ What You Bring

  • 10+ years designing enterprise or hyperscale physical security systems — ideally in mission-critical environments.
  • Expert knowledge of:
  • ONVIF, SIA DC-09, OSDP, Wiegand, BACnet
  • Security ecosystems like Genetec, LenelS2, Honeywell, or Avigilon
  • Strong understanding of multi-site architecture, critical infrastructure, and compliance-driven design.
  • Hands-on experience delivering secure data center environments at scale.
  • Excellent cross-functional leadership and communication skills.

🌟 Bonus Points For

  • CISSP-ISSAP, PSP, or similar certifications
  • Experience working with or designing for DoD-classified or high-security environments
  • Familiarity with AI workloads, GPU clusters, or high-performance computing infrastructure

🎁 What We Offer

  • Competitive total compensation (salary + equity)
  • Full health, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) or regional retirement plans
  • Generous PTO policy
  • Remote-first culture with access to WeWork spaces
  • Flexible work schedule aligned to Pacific Time (PT) hours

📍 This role is remote, but candidates must be U.S.-based and able to work core hours aligned with the Pacific Time Zone.
