Position Details:
Are you a licensed Mechanical Engineer with a passion for designing complex, high-performance mechanical and plumbing systems—especially for healthcare buildings? At Spectrum Engineers, we are seeking an experienced, licensed Mechanical Engineer (PE) to join our Engineering team and focus on leading and delivering mechanical systems for hospitals and other healthcare facilities.
In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping mechanical engineering solutions that support patient comfort, health and safety, staff efficiency, and long-term operational resilience. Your expertise will be applied across all phases of project development—from project pursuit, conceptual planning and design, through construction—ensuring the delivery of mechanical systems that meet the stringent requirements of building codes and the standards of the healthcare industry.
Position Responsibilities:
The Principal Mechanical Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining client relationships, consulting, engineering, and designing HVAC and Plumbing systems for complex projects in all types of buildings, including healthcare facilities.
As the Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of building a team of engineers, designers, and BIM/Revit professionals. Business acumen is a must, as well as a drive to succeed, a hunger for the next project, participation in business development activities, and the development and maintenance of client relationships.
