Job Description :

The Principal Legal Analyst is responsible for recommending, designing, and managing cross-team projects to support the broader business strategy. We seek a lawyer with experience in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues, interested in applying that expertise in a legal technology environment.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Works with Team Leads to form and manage efficient project teams, creating technology-enhanced tools and content for various markets, managing projects to budget, and providing performance feedback.
  • Collaborates with Team Leads and the Director to design and manage investments that optimize workflows through technology.
  • Acts as the market-facing expert for Bloomberg Law, engaging with law schools, law firms, government, and corporate leaders.
  • Demonstrates thought leadership, including participating in external speaking engagements.
  • Participates in special projects and other duties as assigned.
    • Job Requirements:
    • Excellent project management skills, capable of leading or contributing across teams.
    • Strong knowledge of target markets, relevant legal areas, and the legal tech market.
    • Subject matter expertise in content development and familiarity with Bloomberg Law platform tools and architecture.
    • Deep understanding of data governance and analysis.
    • Self-driven, high standards, leading by example.
    • Focus on thought leadership and external engagement.
    • Ability to work with experts across various organizations.
    • Thorough knowledge of Bloomberg Law standards and style.
    Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree and JD required.
    • Minimum 5 years practicing law, with at least 3 years in ESG or related fields.
    • At least 5 years of experience developing workflow solutions in legal, professional, or financial markets.
    • Diverse experience as an individual contributor in relevant roles.
