The Principal IT Analyst (Cybersecurity) is a cybersecurity technical expert with experience in Cloud Security Administration. This individual will be responsible for the design, security access, and implementation of cybersecurity measures and controls on Metropolitan cloud tenants, such as Azure, M365 Security and Management, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). This position will also manage Active Directory Group Policy.This position serves as a resident authority for the development, implementation, and support efforts. Additionally, this role identifies products and develops strategies for remediation and resolution of cloud cybersecurity issues and events, developing and updating documents related to the cybersecurity posture of cloud environments.

Hybrid: Metropolitan's current practice in this position is a hybrid work schedule, typically including two days a week in person and the other days remote. This is subject to change depending on organizational needs. A telework policy is scheduled for negotiations and, once completed and implemented, will provide final direction on the hybrid schedule.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation and Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and eight years of increasingly responsible experience, of which two years must have been at the Senior Programmer Analyst or Senior Systems Analyst level.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTSLicense(s): Valid California Class C Driver's License or equivalent (required at the time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with Exchange Online and SharePoint Online.
  • 2+ years' experience with Azure and M365 Security Policies Management.
  • 2+ years' experience with Enterprise Mobility Management platforms such as VMWare Workspace One.
  • 2+ years' experience working with cloud security tools such as Secure Web Gateways, Endpoint Detection and Response, Network Detection and Response, Cloud Firewalls, and SIEM technologies.
