About the Role

As a Principal Engineer within our Infrastructure Team, you will be instrumental in delivering complex infrastructure projects while maintaining high standards of quality. You will collaborate with senior team members, provide technical guidance, and ensure the successful execution of multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the design and implementation of infrastructure projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project team members.
  • Develop innovative and sustainable solutions for transportation infrastructure challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international design standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Conduct technical reviews and quality assurance checks on project deliverables.
  • Prepare and review detailed technical specifications, drawings, and documentation.
  • Develop reports, calculations, and design documentation.
  • Identify and address potential issues through technical and quality reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Design surface water drainage systems for efficient stormwater management, adhering to regulations.
  • Perform hydrological and hydraulic modeling to inform design decisions and assess drainage impacts.
What We Need From You
  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in Wet Utilities.
  • Experience in designing Wet Utilities such as Potable Water, Sewer, Stormwater, Irrigation, District Cooling, and Firefighting systems.
  • Proficiency with relevant software packages like HEC HMS, HEC RAS, EPANET, WaterCAD, InfoWorks, SewerCAD, StormCAD, SWMM.
  • Familiarity with additional programs like ArcGIS, MicroStation, MicroDrainage, HAMMER is a plus.
  • Experience in designing with Civil 3D software within a BIM environment.
  • Knowledge of utility clash resolution software such as Navisworks, Bentley Navigator, Autodesk Civil 3D.
  • Understanding of industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and lead large-scale projects.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
