Position Overview:

KODA Technologies is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA)Targets and Countermeasures Chief Engineer's office. Your expertise will be applied across multiple programs, developing the next generation of reentry vehicles, rocket motors, and countermeasures to support the creation of realistic test environments for the nation's missile defense systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the TC Engineering team in all aspects of target design, analysis, and test, requirements development and assessment, modeling and simulation, test analysis, and reporting
  • Technical focus areas include creation and maintenance of Interface Control Documents, expert analysis of target reentry and launch vehicle system design, and ensuring engineering rigor is applied to failure review boards.
  • Collaborate with a dynamic team of experts across multiple technical areas to develop engineering analysis and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Review the proposed designs of electrical systems and components for target missile systems, including circuit design, PCB layout, and system integrations
  • Innovate and implement solutions to complex engineering challenges
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of electrical systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and performance standards
  • Develop and execute test plans, analyzing test results to identify and resolve issues
  • Collaborate with software engineers, mechanical engineers, and other team members to integrate electrical systems with other components in the target missile system
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all deliverables are met on time
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns
  • Stay current with advancements in electrical engineering and target missile systems
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of target missile system design and performance

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in STEM field with strong preference for Electrical Engineering
  • 12+ years of relevant experience working on missile defense-related or other DoD program / project
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with MDA and/or DoD programs and processes
  • Experience supporting MDA Flight Test, analysis, and review
  • Experience with the development of rocket motors, ground support launch equipment, and reentry vehicles
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to efficiently perform multiple tasks
  • Ability to communicate detailed technical information to technical and non-technical personnel

Clearance: Must be a US Citizen and hold an Active DoD Secret clearance
