Principal Electrical Engineer - Aeapc : Job Details

Advantage Engineering Associates, PC is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer specializing in Facility Design to join our MEP and Communications Group. This position is based in our New York City office, which offers a hybrid work schedule. The ideal candidate will support and lead electrical design projects for transportation and transit facilities, with experience working with agencies like PANYNJ and MTA preferred.

• Experience with building power systems design
• Experience with fire alarm design
• Proficiency with MicroStation and AutoCAD; Revit experience is a plus
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code and Fire Alarm codes
• Ability to work efficiently under strict schedules
• Ability to work independently or in a team
• Research skills to resolve engineering and design issues, evaluate alternatives, and make recommendations
• Knowledge of MTA and PANYNJ standards is preferred

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in transportation facility design
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited school
• PE license is preferred

The salary range for this position is $160,000 - $225,000, dependent on experience and expertise.
