Principal Delivery Consultant - DevOps - Amazon : Job Details

The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is on the lookout for a talented Delivery Consultant to enhance our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with clients to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that align with their technical requirements and business goals. You will play an essential role in driving customer success during their cloud journey by offering technical expertise and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

As a Delivery Consultant, you will leverage your in-depth knowledge of AWS products and services to architect complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to individual customer needs. Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing sophisticated AWS solutions customized for customers.
• Providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support during project delivery.
• Working collaboratively with stakeholders to gather requirements and suggest effective migration strategies.
• Serving as a trusted advisor on industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Mentoring colleagues and creating reusable artifacts to enhance team knowledge.

This position requires the selected candidate to maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. Additionally, opting into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which AWS work is performed is necessary.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture and implementation.
• Proven experience in leading technical delivery teams for clients.
• Experience in designing cloud and software development architectures to support client mission priorities.
• Demonstrated success in migrating clients to cloud-based solutions or services.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS experience preferred, with proficiency in a broad range of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation).
• AWS Professional level certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional) are desirable.
• Experience with automation and scripting languages (e.g., Terraform, Python).
• Understanding of security and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Recognized expertise in one or more technical or customer mission domains.

This position offers a competitive salary that reflects the labor cost in various U.S. geographic markets. The base salary for this role ranges from $164,500/year to $284,300/year, depending on location, experience, and qualifications. In addition to base pay, total compensation may include equity, sign-on payments, and a comprehensive benefits package.
