Job Description:
Pay Range: $55/hr - $60/hr
Responsibilities:
Architect and Design: Lead the design of reference architectures and applications for various patterns across public cloud providers, e.g., message-driven, web applications, batch processing.Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to engineers, fostering continuous learning and improvement.Customization and Flexibility: Develop solutions supporting advanced user customization and flexibility.Infrastructure Provisioning: Enable rapid provisioning of cloud infrastructure (within 10 minutes), ensuring compliance and auditability.Decommissioning: Develop reliable and repeatable processes for decommissioning infrastructure.Ephemeral Environments: Create short-lived environments for testing and demos.Cost Management: Implement transparent cost management solutions for teams.Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless cloud service integration.Required Skills:
- AWS: Experience with AWS services and architecture.
- Golang: Proficiency in Golang for Terraform modules, cloud-native apps, and infrastructure.
- Kubernetes: Familiarity with container orchestration.
- Cloud Networking: Knowledge of cloud networking concepts.
- Docker: Experience with containerization.
- Testing: Strong automated testing and TDD background.
- Documentation: Ability to create detailed end-user documentation.
- Agile: Experience with Scrum and Agile methodologies.
- Experience: Minimum 6 years as a professional software engineer.
- Leadership: Led design and development of cloud-native Go applications.
- DevOps: Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud hosting setups.
- Mentoring: Proven track record mentoring engineers.
- Relationships: Ability to build effective work relationships and trust across teams.
- Languages: Go and Java primary languages.
- Front-end: Experience with React-based browser applications.
- CI/CD Tools: GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions.
- Containers: Kubernetes-managed Docker containers in hybrid cloud environments.
- Terraform: Infrastructure-as-code with Terraform modules and providers.
- Policy-as-code: Using Sentinel and OPA for security and compliance.
