Job Description

The Pricing Analytics Consultant II is responsible for executing projects that support pricing for the non-admitted insurance business, utilizing accepted actuarial and statistical standards, methodologies, and on-the-job knowledge. This role collaborates closely with management and key partners to implement appropriate pricing, underwriting, and product strategies of moderate complexity to meet business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leverages understanding of insurance products, markets, and regulatory environments to develop business strategies within the non-admitted personal property lines market.
  • Reviews and ensures the quality of data used for pricing and statistical analysis across multiple tools and applications, with limited guidance.
  • Manages or contributes to projects of moderate complexity and scale, following accepted project management standards.
  • Communicates analysis results to management and non-technical stakeholders, providing recommendations and justifications for assumptions and methodologies.
  • Performs basic to moderately complex analyses using best practices, including proper documentation, to develop insights and support business decisions.
  • Utilizes data sources and applications for research and day-to-day analysis.
  • Challenges operational norms to foster innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Encourages idea generation through analytical and reporting data insights.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, VBA, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to analyze trends and summarize insights, especially using PowerBI.
  • Creative problem solver, curious, and able to operate with limited guidance.
  • Experience in integrating multiple data sources in various formats (SQL, Oracle, Python, VBA, R, etc.).

Education

4-year Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Experience

At least 2 years of relevant experience (preferred)

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not entail supervisory duties.

In Lieu of Education & Experience

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Compensation

The base salary ranges from $61,000 to $93,570 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Total compensation may include additional incentives such as bonuses or commissions.

The selected candidate will need to undergo a background check. Allstate typically does not sponsor employment-based visas for this role.
