The President, Bluegrass Care Navigators (BCN), is a newly created executive role designed to meet the complex demands of modern healthcare delivery. This position reports directly to both the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Everent Health and the BCN Board of Directors. The President is charged with leading BCN's strategic operations and growth initiatives, with the goal of positioning the organization at the forefront of patient-centered, mission-driven care. About the Role: The President, in collaboration with the Everent Health (EHI) CEO, will act as the primary representative of Bluegrass Care Navigators (BCN). The President possesses comprehensive knowledge of all service lines and serves as an ambassador for all services offered by EHI and BCN. The President's responsibilities include overseeing daily hospice operations, managing finances (profit and loss), relationship management and primary contact/facilitator with the BCN Board, growth initiatives, ensuring quality, and maintaining staff engagement and retention within the market. The President will collaborate with the BCN Board to establish the strategic direction of the hospice and will develop the overall strategic plan for BCN with support and approval from EHI. Using the resources and support of EHI, the President will lead BCN in fulfilling its mission, vision, and strategic goals while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices. The President participates as an active member of the EHI leadership team, contributing to the mission, vision and strategic plan of EHI.Position Duties & Responsibilities:ALL PROGRAMS•Together with EHI, develops BCN's strategic plan and is responsible for its execution. Secures approval from both the BCN and EHI Boards of BCN specific strategies.•Engages, actively develops, and supports the BCN Board of Directors, ensuring effective governance, relationships, communication and succession planning.•Monitors BCN's quality assurance and compliance plans, assuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Observes patient quality metrics and identifies opportunities to enhance the quality of patient care services. Actively participates and supports the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program for all service lines and is accountable for the performance and outcomes of the hospice QAPI program.•Identifies operational and incentive goals. Secures approval of goals from the BCN and EHI Boards and drives progress towards meeting and exceeding goals.•Serves as BCN's ambassador at community events and outreach programs. Develops and maintains relationships with referral sources, healthcare providers, and community organizations drive growth, innovation and problem solving.•Coordinating with and using the resources of EHI, leads public relations for BCN, driving strategic messaging and managing all aspects of crisis communication and emergency preparedness.•Champions impactful internal communication strategies and recognition programs, ensuring consistent messaging and employee engagement. •Supports the BCN Foundation team to raise funds to continue and expand BCN's mission and cultivate donor relationships. In partnership with the philanthropy leader, maintains a portfolio of key donors to cultivate and engage.•Refers, coordinates and collaborates with EHI on all patient and employee safety, risk, contract and legal matters.•Effectively stewards BCN's property and real estate.•Collaborates with EHI to establish growth goals. Is mutually accountable with EHI in achieving growth goals.•Participates in the development of budgets for all programs/services. Supports EHI and drives BCN performance to meet/exceed budgeted performance. Maintains accountability for financial performance of the hospice program.•Champions innovation and fosters a culture of change readiness.•Adheres to the policies, procedures and processes established by EHI. Obtains approval from the CEO for any exceptions.HOSPICE CARE•In strong partnership with EHI resources and the BCN's clinical leadership, the President is responsible for BCN's regulatory compliance, proactively ensuring adherence with federal, state, and local requirements. Leads hospice survey readiness and directly manages survey processes, leveraging support from EHI Quality and Compliance teams.•Responsible for the day-to-day performance of BCN's clinical leadership, development of clinical leaders and the oversight of clinical operations and care delivery.•Tracks and analyzes operational performance against key metrics and benchmarks, developing and executing strategic action plans to optimize results. Partners with EHI support teams and BCN leaders to address performance gaps and implement improvements.•Champions compassionate, patient-centered care, swiftly addressing and resolving patient or family concerns in coordination with EHI, ensuring a high standard of service and satisfaction.•Oversees the financial performance of the hospice, with full accountability for achieving profit and loss goals, maintaining fiscal discipline, and driving financial sustainability.•Champions budget development and manages budget performance, monitoring actuals against projections and providing timely, accurate financial updates to leadership.•Collaborates with EHI leadership-including the VP of Access/Sales, VP of Community Engagement, and VP of Marketing-to elevate brand visibility and expand market share, aligning local efforts with system-wide strategies.•Leads workforce planning and staffing for the hospice, applying EHI staffing models and partnering with HR and Learning to recruit, onboard, and retain top talent, ensuring optimal care delivery.•Executes EHI-approved continuous improvement initiatives, driving enhancements in care quality, operational efficiency, and patient satisfaction through a culture of innovation and accountability. Maintains full accountability for the quality of care and services provided by the hospice.•Ensures seamless service delivery across the market by fostering close collaboration with EHI, aligning operational practices to achieve consistency, efficiency, and excellence.•Provides expert leadership and guidance in complex problem-solving scenarios, serving as a trusted advisor and decision-maker in high-stakes situations.The above statements represent a summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents of this role. Requirements•Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree preferred. A combination of education, relevant and tenured work experience may be considered. •Minimum experience of 8 to 10 years in healthcare leadership or Business/Financial management. •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed independent decisions and collaborate effectively.•Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.•Demonstrated ability to work well within a team environment in support of organizational objectives.•Experience leading a board of directors and/or participating on boards and governance committees.•Health care experience preferred.
