Overview

Mujeres Latinas en Acción (Mujeres) is a bilingual/bicultural agency that empowers Latinas through service and advocacy. For over 50 years, the organization has provided programs and services in the Pilsen community of Chicago that reflect the values and culture of Latinas, while also being an advocate on the issues that make a difference in their lives.

The next CEO of Mujeres will shape the future of an organization that plays a vital role in the lives of Latinas and families. This leader will build upon a strong foundation while meeting the demands of the current moment with resilience, clarity, and care.

In collaboration with staff, the Board of Directors, and the community, the CEO will help craft and carry forward a shared vision that is rooted in healing, equity, and resilience. This leader must be both visionary and pragmatic—able to foster collaboration while confidently making critical, impact-driven decisions.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a deeply rooted, community-centered leader with at least ten years of executive experience in the nonprofit or social impact sector. They bring a strong track record in managing complex organizations, securing funding, and building effective partnerships. Experience in human services, gender-based violence (GBV), or multi-program service delivery is highly preferred.

The CEO must be bilingual in Spanish and English and demonstrate cultural fluency within the Latinx community. A strong connection to Chicago is desired.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for the position is $175,000-$200,000, commensurate with experience. Mujeres also provides a full range of benefits including health and disability insurance, a retirement plan, flexible savings plans and generous paid time off.
