Preschool Teacher or Floater-breaker - Building Kidz : Job Details

We are looking for a committed ECE Teacher to complement our qualified workforce of educators. You will be responsible for supporting the team with daily breaks, covering different classes if need be, and assisting with the cleaning and organization of the center. The ideal candidate will be passionate for the job with an ability to multitask, comfortable with different age groups, be flexible and a team player. They will know how to organize a class and make learning an easy and meaningful process. The goal is to help cultivate the students' interest in education and be their dedicated ally in the entire process of learning and development.*Responsibilities** Take over a class and implement/teach lessons in a comprehensive manner when a teacher is off* Cover daily 10 minutes breaks and lunch breaks* Assess and record students' progress throughout the day (when responsible for the class)* Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom* Collaborate and support other teachers and Director as needed* Play, talk, interact with children* Comfortable attending to the children's basic needs (feeding, toileting, naps, diaper's, etc.)* Supervise and ensure safety at all times,* Support with the cleanliness and organization of the center*Skills** Proven experience or willingness to learn* Thorough knowledge of teaching best practices and ability to supervise, engaged and support students* Excellent communicability and interpersonal skills* Well-organized and committed* Friendly and energetic* Flexible and able to support multiple classrooms* Strong moral values and discipline* Knowledge of CPR* Minimum of 12 ECE units required* Multitasker* Capable of sitting on the floor, lifting kids up, etc when interacting and attending to childrenJob Type: Part-timePay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hourSchedule:* 4 hour shift* Monday to FridayApplication Question(s):* Do you have the 12 Core ECE units? or a minimus of 6 core ECE units and enrolled in the other 6 units?Experience:* Early Childhood Education: 1 year (Preferred)* Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)License/Certification:* CPR Certification (Preferred)Work Location: In person
