Position Summary: Our Lady of the Lake Catholic School is seeking a dedicated, faith-filled, and experienced Preschool Director to lead our early childhood program. The Director will be responsible for the overall administration, operation, and spiritual leadership of the preschool, ensuring that it aligns with the mission of Our Lady of the Lake and the educational directives of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Phoenix. Key Responsibilities:
- Spiritual and Educational Leadership:
- Uphold and integrate the Catholic faith into all aspects of the preschool program, ensuring a Catholic faith-filled learning environment as per Our Lady of the Lake's mission.
- Lead by example, demonstrating a personal commitment to the Catholic faith and inspiring staff and students to grow in their relationship with Christ.
- Oversee the development and implementation of a curriculum that promotes the integral development of each child's physical, moral, and intellectual talents, guided by Gospel values ,.
- Ensure that religious instruction and faith formation activities are central to the preschool experience, recognizing the pre-eminent place of Christ's message in a student's advancement.
- Program Administration and Management:
- Manage all operational aspects of the preschool, including enrollment, budgeting, facility maintenance, and compliance with diocesan, state, and local regulations.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures that ensure a safe, healthy, and stimulating environment for children aged three through six.
- Oversee the assessment and evaluation of the preschool program to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to high standards.
- Staff Supervision and Development:
- Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate preschool staff, ensuring they meet diocesan standards and are committed to the mission of Catholic education.
- Provide ongoing professional development opportunities for staff, encouraging their growth as educators and their spiritual formation.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that reflects Christian values and promotes teamwork.
- Parent and Community Engagement:
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with parents, recognizing their primary role as educators of their children and supporting them in their mission of faith formation ,.

- Act as a liaison between the preschool, Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, and the wider Lake Havasu City community.
- Compliance and Accreditation:
- Ensure the preschool adheres to all relevant licensing requirements, diocesan policies, and accreditation standards.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.
Qualifications:
- Practicing Catholic in good standing, committed to the teachings and mission of the Catholic Church.
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 1 years in a leadership or administrative role.
- Demonstrated understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and lead a team of educators.
- Proficiency in relevant technology and software for school administration.
- Must meet all diocesan and state requirements for employment in a preschool setting, including background checks and certifications.
