About the Role

We are looking for a Solutions Engineer to serve as a key technical and strategic resource in the presales process. You will work closely with Sales, Product, and Data Science teams to deliver tailored, high-impact AI solutions to some of the most sophisticated players in the financial world. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, developing client-focused solutions, and articulating complex ideas with clarity and confidence.

You'll become a subject matter expert on RavenPack's product suite and play a central role in helping prospective clients evaluate, adopt, and derive value from our platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on RavenPack's data and Bigdata.com platform features, and technical implementations.
  • Partner with the sales team to pursue new business opportunities, supporting the technical aspects of the sales process.
  • Conduct technical discovery sessions with prospects to understand workflows, data needs, and model integration opportunities.
  • Deliver tailored product demonstrations and build compelling Jupyter notebooks that showcase AI/ML capabilities and business value.
  • Lead proof of concept (POC) projects, helping clients validate solutions that improve investment models, risk frameworks, or research pipelines.
  • Collaborate with RavenPack's global Product and Data Science teams to provide field insights and drive product innovation.
  • Support RFPs, security reviews, and technical documentation for enterprise procurement processes.
  • Stay informed on financial technology trends, AI/ML use cases, and sentiment analytics applications in the investment landscape.

Requirements

  • 7 -10 years of experience in a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Product Specialist, or equivalent client-facing technical role.
  • Experience in enterprise search, NLP, ML demonstrating passion for technology
  • Working knowledge of financial markets
  • Strong hands-on experience with Python, R, or MATLAB — especially for developing Jupyter notebooks and client prototypes.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills; comfortable engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically under pressure.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills; able to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
