Prep Cook - lephante, Santa Monica Wage: $22/hour Join the culinary team at lephante, where coastal vibes meet elevated Mediterranean flavors. We're looking for a dedicated Prep Cook to help maintain our high standards of quality, consistency, and hospitality in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen. What You'll Do:
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and portioning according to our recipes.
- Ensure your station-and the entire kitchen-is clean, organized, and sanitized.
- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) protocols and label/store all ingredients properly.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including station setup, restocking, and side work.
- Support the team by following instructions, communicating clearly, and staying organized.
- Report any equipment issues or breakages promptly to management.
- Attend pre-service meetings and training sessions to stay aligned with our standards.
- Uphold all Department of Health and company sanitation procedures.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous prep or line cook experience in a high-volume kitchen is preferred.
- Food Handler's Certificate and in-house prep training (can be completed after hiring).
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong teamwork, communication skills, and a positive attitude.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
