Predictive Reliability Tech II
Shaw Industries is looking for a Predictive Reliability Tech II to effectively lead and execute a PdM program to improve and optimize the reliability production and infrastructure equipment.

Essential Duties:
- Utilize various PdM test instruments including Vibration analyzers, Infrared Imagers, and Ultrasound collectors.
- Effectively perform analysis of ultrasound, vibration, and infrared data to determine necessary actions.
- Attend offsite certification and training courses on theory and application of PdM technology and how to analyze the data.
- Document findings, build and maintain routes, develop baselines, trend data, interpret results, create and generate corrective work orders.
- Perform FFT (Spectrum) and Timewave Analysis for both Vibration and Ultrasound data.
- Setup custom measurements to diagnose specific fault conditions in Vibration software with Technical Ass Associates' Proven Method .
- Optimize PdM strategies to get most value and life out of critical support and process equipment.
- Embrace full ownership and responsibility of plant vibration database for all route based and continuous monitoring programs.
- Must gain proficiency in a variety of software packages for collection, analysis, and reporting of Vibration, Ultrasound, Infrared, Motor Testing, and Oil Analysis data.
- Demonstrate precision lubrication techniques by leveraging PdM technologies.
- Employ testing for specific fault diagnosis by performing Run-Up/Coast Down, Bump Test, and Phase Analysis.
- Demonstrate ability to visually identify electrical components as they relate to Infrared scan reporting and corrective work documentation.
- Train technicians and departmental management on predictive maintenance fundamentals.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) on precision alignment of direct coupled shafts and belts/sheeves; utilizing precision alignment tools.
- Work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary to keep program on schedule.
- Maintain the integrity and security of sensitive and technical tools.
- Communicate effectively with management to adequately address findings in a timely manner.
- Mentor Level I PdM techs internal and external to local plant.
- Share notable case studies and findings to Shaw PdM network.
Non-Essential Duties:
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

- Maintain a clean work area.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to sit, stand or walk eight to twelve hours a day.
- Able to bend, stoop, squat, lift, climb ladders, and reach occasionally.
- Able to lift/carry packages weighing up to Fifty (50) pounds occasionally.
- Able to wear OSHA and NFPA required PPE, including a 40-cal arc-flash protective suit for extended periods.
- Able to operate highly technical equipment and analyze results which include the accurate reading of multi-color graphs and screens, discernment of colors.
- Able to listen for and interpret noise anomalies of varying pitch or magnitude.
- Able to make visual judgments of both a quantitative and qualitative nature at distances from six inches to twenty-five feet in varying environmental conditions.
Other Requirements:
- High school education, GED or its equivalent.
- Must have good interpersonal, communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Must be able to work with close supervision.
- Meet START requirements for the Technician-Electrician II, or Technician-Mechanic Level B.
- Computer skills with programs and software related to predictive maintenance program and Microsoft Suites.
- Meet minimum requirements for certification as Vibration Level II Analyst from ISO accredited agency including a minimum of 18-months vibration analysis experience and a score of 70% or greater on the certification test.
Training Requirements:
- All related training as required by Maintenance Manager.
- Must have all OSHA, SAFE, SMS, and plant specific training.
- Lockout/Tag out training.
- Powered Industrial Truck training.
- Training on all applied PdM tools including Vibration, Infrared, Ultrasound, Motor Testing, and Oil Analysis.
Tool, Equipment & Material Requirements:
- Blueprints, schematics, and sketches.
- Drill press, band saw, hand tools and power tools such as grinder, vise, pipe wrench, hammers, and wrenches.
- All PPE listed on JHA.
- Vibration Analyzer, Ultrasound Unit, Infrared Camera.
Safety & Security Requirements:
- Comply with all Corporate & Plant Safety Rules and Guidelines.
- Be aware of and alert to all safety hazards within the facility. (i.e. Lift Truck traffic).

Work Shift: 8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM.
