Utilizes selling, pricing, engineering, and management skills to support MTech Mechanical team in procuring work and designing jobs to satisfy the client's needs and achieve a fair profit for the company.A successful candidate will be responsible for: Developing general contractor and end-user client baseProviding feedback to business unit team on current market conditions and trendsParticipating in assuring future sales projections are accurate and completed on scheduleDemonstrating understanding of other business unit processes and supporting all processes to achieve business unit goalsSupporting overall sales objectives by meeting assigned gross margin dollars and gross margin % objectivesMaintaining awareness of company resources required to complete projectCreating new client relationships and being the primary contact with the client for any project issues unresolved by other team membersMaintaining client relationships with accounts assignedProviding technical design expertise for both conceptual/budget estimates and completed working documentsProperly pricing products to meet the objectives of selling a job and ensuring fair profit for MTech MechanicalManaging the preconstruction process from initial lead generation until turnover to construction operationsPreparing sales proposals and performing presentations for potential clients and prospectsManaging estimating team to produce complete and accurate estimatesMaintaining continual contact with the projects participated throughout development and construction, including review of job costs and personal communication with the Project Engineer, Project Managers, and OwnerEffectively participating on MTech Mechanical team to satisfy the client's needsCommunicating effectively with internal and external clientsMaintaining/obtaining knowledge of current mechanical systems, including ongoing continuing education via ASHRAE, DBIA, ACCA, etc.Understanding and establishing positive and functional job relationshipsMeeting with clients to gather information and coordinate plansObtaining information and pricing details from vendorsCoordinating with other MTech Mechanical employees as required in the resolution of project-related problems and issuesWorking as a team member with project engineers to conceptualize designsSupporting total quality and team-based efforts, identifying and responding to the needs of internal and external clients 100% of the timeWorking within the guidelines of the safety and employee policyMentoring/training Junior Sales Engineer in sales approaches, system concepts, client relations, and corporate philosophyRegular and predictable attendance is expected to meet the requirements of this positionOther duties as assignedQualified candidates will possess the following education and experience: 5 -15 years working with HVAC systems and industrial systemsBS in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture EngineeringMust be approved to drive per MTech's driving standardsVery strong understanding of mechanical equipment/systems applicationsAbility to discuss highly technical aspects of HVAC and plumbing systems to internal partners and clientsWorking knowledge of architectural, electrical, structural, and fire protection drawings requiredExperience with Microsoft Office SuiteStrong communication both written and verbalAbout MTechFor over 20 years, MTech has aimed to build a great company with a great reputation.
